As the John Bellew Memorial Fund begins its fifth year, we would  like to thank everyone for the continued support and generosity.  It is because of this kindness that the drive to keep John’s memory alive has been so successful.

 Originally created to be a Scholarship Fund for the children of members of the FDNY, the John Bellew Memorial Fund has extended its purpose to also provide financial assistance to the families of members of the FDNY and NYPD who have suffered non-line of duty deaths.

Once again this year the two main fundraising and awareness events will be the Fun Run and 5k and the golf outing. 

The Fun Run and 5K will be held on Saturday April 18 at the Volunteer Fire House on Central Avenue in Pearl River. The day includes:

  • 1/5 mile fun run for children under 6 at 10:00 AM
  • 1/2 mile fun run for children between 7-12 at 10:30 AM. All children will receive medals
  • 5K Run through the streets of Pearl River
  • Medals for top male/ female in each age group.
  • T-shirt, while supplies last, for all race participants
  • Post race party with food, beverages and entertainment

The golf outing will be held on Tuesday, June 16th at Patriot Hills Golf Club in Stony Point and Philip J. Rotella Golf Course in Thiells.

 The rounds of golf will be followed with a dinner with music, raffles, prizes and auctions will follow. It is certain that all who attend the outing will have an enjoyable time; the true success of the day however will be measured by the support received by the Fund.

 

 Included on this website is a listing of all of the sponsorship opportunities available for both individuals and corporations. The outing will have approximately 240 golfers and another 50 – 60 volunteers, all of whom will be viewing your sponsorships. Further, if you would like to make a general donation or if you or your business has goods or services that could be used during the auctions and raffles, we would gladly accept those donations.
